This guide shows how to install Portkeys monitor firmware for BM5/LH5 series. The latest Portkeys firmware is always available from portkey.com/firmware-upgrade. To apply the update, download the firmware file and unzip the file onto the main directory of your USB disk, make sure the resulting .bin file right on your USB disk. Then plug it into the monitor and select this option to perform the update.
Firmware update best practices:
• USB flash drive USB. 2.0 4GB (recommended)
• Make sure the format is FAT 32
• USB must be 4 GB or smaller.
• Formatted as FAT or FAT32 for Windows, MS-DOS (FAT) for macOS (if partitioned, select the MBR Master Boot Record option under Scheme)
• Fully Charged battery
• Note older version of firmware before update
CAUTION: When doing a firmware update, be sure not to lose power during the process. If you do, the firmware will not boot in many cases, and if this happens, you will need to reach out to support@portkeys.com.
Step-by-step to install Portkeys monitor firmware
Step 1: Download the latest firmware update.
Step 2: Click the .zip download file to USB flash drive, then extract the .bin (firmware file).
Step 3: Remove USB disk from computer.
Step 4: Insert USB disk into your Portkeys monitor

Step 5: Turn on your monitor.
Step 6: Tap the central screen to access the function interface.
Step 7: Swipe/toggle left to the monitor’s Settings Menu.
Step 8: Select “FIRMWARE” in Settings Menu and follow on-screen prompts.

Once the firmware is installed and the on-screen prompts tell you to reboot your monitor – Hold down the power button for at least 5 seconds and then release. Press the power button again to begin operating your Portkeys monitor with the new firmware installed.
