I have been using a 7 inch monitor for the past year or so, and recently it died, so I quickly took it to my local repair shop. After they had taken a look at it, they told me that the screen was dead because of water damage, and that the display was defective. I was surprised because the screen had not been wet, and I did not know what happened. I decided to buy a new monitor so that I could get back to work ASAP, but when I got home, I realized that my new monitor was too big to be attached to my old one.

This prompted me to design a cage for my monitor. The cage is made out of 8mm thick acrylic plastic, which has enough strength to withstand the weight of the monitor.
It took me about 2 hours to design this cage in Fusion 360. Once I had finished designing it and exported each part as an SVG file, it took me about 4 hours to cut out each part using a laser cutter.
This is a nice way to keep your monitor safe from accidental damage.
