Can Chromecast Work With Monitor Related Information

This article will tell you how to set up your Chromecast device.

Chromecast App

  • Download the Chromecast app on your mobile device.

  • Open the app and tap the Cast button.

  • Choose the device you want to cast to (your TV).

  • Select the video you want to watch, then tap Play or Pause at any time during playback. You can also stop it by tapping Stop on your device or remote control for your TV/sound bar, if available.

WiFi Connection

To set up your Chromecast or Chromecast Ultra, you need a WiFi connection. You can set up your Chromecast or Chromecast Ultra over a wired connection, but it's not recommended because it takes longer to complete.

If you have a wired connection and want to use it instead of the faster WiFi setup:

  • Plug the HDMI cable into your TV, then plug the other end into one end of your Chromecast device using its USB power adapter and AC power cord (if needed).

  • Plug the other end of that same HDMI cable into an open HDMI port on your chosen device (e., computer/laptop). If no ports are available on this device already, then you'll need to buy an additional adapter with at least one more external port for connecting multiple devices at once via USB-C (such as this one by Anker). This will allow you connect both ends of their respective cords at once while also keeping them neatly organized.

Home Screen

To start, you'll want to download the Chromecast app on your phone. Next, open up your WiFi settings and connect to a network. You will then be prompted for a password if it's required; enter this information and hit Connect when finished.

Now that you are connected to the same WiFi as your streaming device, it's time to set up your Chromecast! Head over in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and search for "Chromecast." Download the latest version (if applicable) from here and install it onto your phone or tablet.

Enter your Password

Once you're connected to your Chromecast, the next step is to enter a password. This is the same password that allows you to connect your monitor to the internet. The key here is that both devices need it—your monitor and your Chromecast. If you're not sure what this information is, contact your internet service provider (ISP) and ask them how they connect their device(s). Once they tell you how they connected their device(s), closely follow those instructions in order for them to recognize what type of router or modem are being used at home.

If there's still some confusion about this process, don't worry! You can always resetting your router settings.

Select Your Streaming Device

Here's where things get a little confusing. If you have a Chromecast, for example, select your streaming device from the list of available devices. If you have an Apple TV, select your streaming device from the list of available devices and then choose "Cast..."

If you don't see any options for casting to your monitor and just want to mirror your computer screen using Google Chrome browser, follow these steps:

Set Up Your Streaming Device

  • Select your streaming device.

  • Select Connect on both devices and let the scan begin!

  • When your TV shows a four-digit code, enter it into your streaming device’s remote and hit Enter/OK to confirm it was entered correctly. Your TV should show “Connected” when you successfully enter the code on both devices at the same time, then go back to its home screen or app menu once again before starting over with step 1 above so that you can set up another one if desired (you can have up to 8 different devices connected).

Select Connect on Both Devices

Select Connect on Both Devices

Select your streaming device from the list of available devices.

I got away with around 3 hours of battery life at the maximum backlight setting. To me, this is a decent battery life for an on-camera monitor powered by a small battery. However, if you do the maths, a big Sony NP-F970 battery could theoretically run the PT5 for more than 12 hours!.

Finally, the Volta Cinema Top Handle has three 1/4″-20 mounting points at the handle’s back. The threading is really thin, and the metal is not thick here. An 8+2 FRC panel is less expensive for manufacturers to produce, as it’s based on a “software trick” to simulate 10-bit on an 8-bit panel. I’m simplifying things here, but keep in mind that even some of the most expensive monitors from SmallHD or Atomos (except NEON) use the same technique.
