Laptops used to be limited to a single screen until the age of external monitors. Nowadays, laptops come with multiple monitor support, but many still require additional hardware to connect an external display. With a touch screen monitor, you can interact with your computer by touching the display itself instead of using a mouse or keyboard. This can improve productivity if you find yourself needing more screen space than just one small laptop screen can offer.
Connecting an external monitor to your laptop can give you more screen space for your open programs. You may want to connect an additional monitor if you are running multiple programs at once, or if you have a lot of windows open on the existing monitors.
Connecting the external monitor is easy, but it does require some setting up on both the laptop and the external Camera Monitor. First, connect one end of an HDMI cable (also known as High-Definition Multimedia Interface) into the HDMI port on your laptop and plug the other end into either a USB 3 or USB 2 port on your external monitor. Next, turn both devices off before connecting them together; this ensures that they don't power up without being connected properly.
