It's time to upgrade your TV. While some of us still have the bulky cathode-ray tube sets from our parents' era, others have switched over to today's slim LCD and plasma screens. However, these TVs are still limited in size and resolution compared with what you can get from a computer monitor or even an iPad. The latest trend in TV technology is 4K resolution, which packs four times as many pixels into every inch of screen space as 1080p HDTVs do. In other words: Your favorite shows will look better than ever before! Here's everything you need to know about getting yourself a 4K monitor for your home theater setup:
A TV Monitor 4K is a TV Monitor that supports a resolution of at least 3840x2160 pixels. The term "4K" refers to the horizontal pixel count of these displays, which is four times that of 1080p HDTVs. This resolution is also referred to as Quad HD (QHD), WQUXGA, WQUAD and Quad Full HD (Quad-HD).
In contrast to this high-end technology, a standard computer monitor generally has a lower resolution and tends to be smaller than the average TV monitor 4K.
A computer monitor typically has a maximum resolution of 1920x1080 pixels or 1920x1200 pixels while most televisions are capable of displaying up to 3840x2160 pixels in full quality according to their specifications.
The SW271 offers a 28-inch display with a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution and 300 cd/m2 brightness. The monitor also features a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 1,000:1 static contrast ratio and 4ms response time. The only downside of this monitor is its 4ms response time which may be too slow for gamers who want to play fast action games like Overwatch or Battlefield 1. For everyone else it's an excellent choice especially considering it can be found at just over $800 online!
