The Portkeys PT5 HDMI touchscreen monitor is the most affordable monitor, which is a 5″ 4K30p monitor with 500nit bitghtness, new peaking, wide color gamut and 3D LUT. Portkeys PT5 Hardware – Improved Compact Touchscreen
The PortKeys PT5 is a lightweight – 0.28lbs/130grams – entry-level professional monitor for filmmakers who are looking for a compact on-camera monitor.
Full HD Display
The PT5 features an 10bit 5″ 4K30P 1920 x 1080 with a 500nit brightness and 1000:1 contrast ratio. The PT5 is made out of ABS plastic.
4K HDMI In/Out & Headphone Jack
On the left side, the PT5 features two HDMI ports (input/output) that accept 4K HDMI signals. Also, in the middle of the HDMI ports, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack output.
USB – A interface
At the right side of the monitor, there is an On/Off switch, a DC 7.4-24V barrel input/output port that you can use to power the monitor or power your camera. Finally, there is a USB-A port for future firmware upgrade, loading your own LUTs, or charge your smartphone (5V output).
Dual-use Battery Plate
At the rear of the monitor, you will find the battery plate to power the PortKeys PT5. You can use Sony NP-F batteries or Canon LP-E6. Also, you can power it with an external battery via the DC barrel input port.
To mount the monitor on your camera, there is a 1/4 20″ mounting point at the bottom. The monitor comes with many accessories, including a safety box, an anti-fall rubber protection bracket, a sunshade, and a holder mount.
Portkeys PT5 Software
With a complete set of tools with simple operation and professional functions, all operations can be completed with one touch. Video assistance functions include focusing, framing and exposure tools ( RGB and Luma waveform, RGB histogram, brightness histogram, audio meters, peak focus, zoom, zebra pattern, false color, safety frame, etc.) and a flexible 3D LUT loading tool that you can customize the upload of the .cube file, HDR monitoring and anamorphic widescreen recovery functions.
