Chromecast Touch Screen Monitor Related Information

If you have a touch screen monitor but don't know what to do with it, don't worry! You can use your monitor as a TV thanks to Google Chromecast. Whether you want to play Netflix shows on the big screen or just stream music from Spotify, there are many fun ways to use this handy little dongle with your display. In this article, we'll explore some of our favorite uses for Chromecast when paired with a touch screen monitor.

Use it in your living room.

While it's not necessarily the most attractive-looking device, Chromecast Touch Screen Monitor is still a great way to save money on your home decor. You can use it in a number of different ways:

  • To stream video from apps like Netflix, Hulu, and HBO GO.

  • To play music from apps like Pandora, Spotify and Google Play Music (oh hey there).

  • To play games on your TV when you're tired of using an actual controller.

The best part is that with Chromecast Touch Screen Monitor you'll never have to worry about missing that important work email or text message again!

Chromecast-friendly apps.

As mentioned above, there are some apps that are Chromecast-only. You'll find them on Google Play and any other app store that you have installed on the device where your Chromecast is connected.

Other apps will work with Chromecast but also work with other devices as well, like Roku or Apple TV. These may cost money but they're still worth checking out! Some of our favorites include:

  • Netflix - This one is a no brainer! If you don't already have a membership for this streaming service, then you should definitely get one now so that you can take advantage of all the content available through it. And since Netflix has its own app for Chromecast devices, all it takes to watch something cool is tapping on "Cast" in the upper right corner of your screen (or press Ctrl+C). The app will automatically search for available devices nearby and connect automatically when found; from there all it takes is pressing play on whatever episode/movie/documentary/etc., which will start playing immediately without needing any further input from yourself whatsoever!

Stream Netflix, Hulu Plus, and other video services.

Netflix and Hulu Plus are popular video services, but you can also stream videos from YouTube, HBO Go, and other services. You can even use the Google Cast extension for Chrome to send your browser's contents to the TV.

Streaming from your computer is easy—just download the Google Cast extension for Chrome or Firefox (and then make sure it's enabled in Google Chrome). Streaming from mobile devices is even easier; just open up a video in YouTube on your phone or tablet and select "Cast". You'll see a list of Chromecast-enabled devices that you're connected to—just pick one, select the content you want to play on it, and enjoy! If there's no content available at all yet—or if there's something wrong with how things are playing—you might be able to fix things by turning off Airplane Mode.

Cast your music to the TV.

You can also use the Google Play Music app to stream music to Chromecast.

  • Open a Chromecast-compatible app on your phone, like YouTube or Netflix.

  • Tap the Cast button in the upper right corner, then tap your device name (i.e., “Chromecast 1”) within seconds of seeing it appear on screen. You'll see an audio icon appear next to your device's name if casting is successful—you'll hear sound coming from the TV if this happens!

Add more games to play.

There are a number of ways to play games on the Chromecast Touch. You can use it to play games with friends, family and strangers from around the world by connecting your phone or tablet to the monitor via Wi-Fi and allowing them access to the monitor through a web browser.

You could also use Google Cast Mobile apps if you want to play with others in person or locally who aren't connected online. This will allow users within Wi-Fi range (about 150 ft) of each other's devices to connect directly without an Internet connection.

Browse the Web on your TV.

If you have a Google Chrome browser on your computer, you can use it to browse the web on your TV. Simply open up Chrome and select "Cast" from the menu bar at the top of your browser window. A drop-down menu will appear with options to connect your computer to Chromecast or other devices in range. Choose "Cast this tab" and select your Chromecast device from the list of available devices that appear in that menu.

Chrome is not available on Mac computers, so if you're using one, Google offers an iOS app called "Google Home" which lets users browse through web pages using their iPad or iPhone as their mobile browser (the app requires iOS 8 or later).

Save money on an alarm clock.

A great way to save money is by using your TV as an alarm clock. Most TVs have an internal clock, but if yours doesn't, there are plenty of apps that will allow you to set alarms right on the screen. You can also use a chromecast-enabled alarm clock with a built-in camera so you can see who's at the door while they're ringing it!

There are many fun ways to use a touch screen with Chromecast.

When you use your touch screen monitor with Chromecast, it's easy to turn your living room into a gaming, movie-watching and music-listening paradise.

You can use the touch screen monitor in some ways that aren't available through other devices. For example:

  • Stream Netflix and Hulu Plus on your TV. Many people use their Chromecast with streaming services like Netflix and Hulu Plus because they want to watch movies or shows without having to change the channel on their TV. The touch screen monitor makes this process even more convenient because it lets you browse through all of the available content so easily!

  • Cast music from Spotify or Pandora onto your TV screen. With a traditional remote control, scrolling through songs takes forever—but with a touch screen monitor it's easy as pie! Just type in an artist name and hit "play," then sit back and listen as those sweet tunes fill up the room around you... well maybe not literally fill up everything else but whatever (it works for me).

Conclusion

Chromecast is a great device that allows you to enjoy your favorite streaming services on your TV. You can also use it as an alarm clock, which saves you money and space. We hope this article helped you understand what the Chromecast touch screen monitor is and how it works!

This new Portkeys PT5 on-camera monitor came out in July 2021 and is the company’s most affordable monitor to date. With a $169/€150 price point, I was skeptical at first regarding what this monitor has to offer. However, I soon realized I had nothing to worry about.

However, the original PortKeys LEYE had one major drawback: you need to power it externally. For example, suppose you have a small DSLR/mirrorless/cinema camera. In that case, you probably don’t want to unnecessarily rig your camera with V-Mount batteries or a power bank only to feed an EVF.

However, even if I found the UI easy to understand, there are some things I did not like. First, when you open the menu, it’ll stay open for a certain amount of time that you can adjust between 10 and 30 seconds. But when you’re done, you can’t exit the menu and hide it. Instead, you’ll have to let it disappear on its own without touching anything for 10/30sec.

  • 24 Inch Monitor Sale
Like most on-camera monitors (the ones that are not OLED), especially daylight-viewable ones, if you crank up the brightness, the display tends to lift the image’s black parts. In short, blacks are not black anymore, but more on the grey side and the picture starts to be a little washed out.

The monitor has a contrast ratio of 1000:1, and I could not confirm if the panel itself is 8 or 10-bit (8+2 FRC obviously if it’s the case). On top of that, the panel would support HDR ST2084 300 / ST 2084 1000 / ST 2084 10000 / HLG monitoring, but I have high doubts about it and can’t confirm.

In addition, there are multiple exhaust vents all around the monitor, which help with heat dissipation. Talking about heat, I was stunned that the monitor was not warm or hot to the touch even after a couple of hours of being turned on. So that’s a good sign!.

Last but not least, at the front of the bag, inside the rain cover pocket, you’ll find two nylon loops. Using the two front straps and these two nylon loops, you can attach a heavy camera tripod to the bag. I tried with my Sachtler Speed Lock CF HD set of tripod legs: it works.

To make it short, all you have to do is purchase the right cable for your camera with the monitor – also available separately – and plug it from the LH5H to the camera. Then, you’ll be able to trigger the recording, navigate through the menus of the camera, change your settings, and so on.

However, on the Porkeys PT5, I found that even at maximum brightness, the image doesn’t shift a lot, and blacks are still pretty dense. I guess it’s mainly because the PT5 has a full brightness of 500nit only.

These theoretical tests don’t have much sense to me as you usually don’t always shoot at full brightness for this amount of time without switching off the monitor, but it gives you a rough idea. In “normal” real-life shooting conditions, I found the battery life to be pretty good.

There is a loupe in front of the display, but it doesn’t look like you can flip it/remove it, according to the pictures. To fit nearly every filmmaker, the loupe of the LEYE features a +8 to -3 diopters adjustment. Also, the loupe’s back is totally round, with a “sponge eye mask” that prevents LCD sunburns and allows users with glasses to look at the EVF easily. However, no “traditional” eyecup is included, which is a little bit of a bummer.
